Many people are put off from investigating new technology because of the steep learning curves involved. This Expo project was an attempt to overcome this problem by creating a simple metaphor to disguise the technical aspects of a system to create a search engine optimization resource using stigmergy and genetic algorithms.

As so often is the case, when you dumb things down you get inappropriate responses. People become more concerned with the trivialities of the metaphor than the implications of the application.

After a few frustrating discussions in a couple of SEO forums, this Expo metaphor was abandoned.
